Global warming has to be one of the most misunderstood concepts today. Peaople either don't pay attention in their science classes or they have never bothered to find out what it is. Global warming is the trapping of greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere. It doesn't necessarily mean temperatures all over the world are going to sky rocket. Global warming is more causing extremes to occur in weather patterns. I am a conservative and not a big fan of Al Gore and can't stand the pokes he makes about his elections years in the video "An Inconvenient Truth," but keep in mind that he does have a science degree and the science that is in his video is actually very well supported.
